Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo resumes Smartphone Manufacturing in India

Since the lockdown implemented throughout India at the end of March, the whole population of the country was forced to stay home. Smartphone OEMs are one of the companies who suffered during the lockdown. The smartphone companies like Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo couldn’t sell their phones locally. So they had to stop their productions. As the government started lifting the lockdown slowly, they will resume local manufacturing in the emerging market.

On Friday, Samsung stated that it has received permission from the state government to resume smartphone production and will resume limited operations at its Noida smartphone manufacturing plant. Moreover, Xiaomi also said that its manufacturing partners would soon continue production after getting approvals from the state governments. Meanwhile, Oppo is considering opening their factories in Noida and Vivo stated that it had resumed productions.
