We’re only three days away from the Redmi K40 series announcement, and we’ve learned most of the key specs of the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro for the last few days. Today, we received more detailed specifications of vanilla Redmi K40 that had been spotted on Geekbench.
As per the source, the Geekbench indicates that the device could be featuring the Snapdragon 870 mobile platform, which has a maximum speed of 3.19GHz. On Geekbench, the Redmi K40 has appeared with its M2012K11AC model number and ‘Alioth codename. The listing reveals that it is a 1.80GHz Qualcomm processor, 8 GB of RAM, and an Android 11 Operating System.
So far, it is known that the Redmi K40 will be featuring a 6.6-inch Samsung AMOLED E4 display with a top-centered selfie camera cutout. The screen will support a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is backed by a 4,520mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, which is very impressive for the flagship nowadays.
When coming to high-end Redmi K40 Pro, it also features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike the previous models, Redmi is going for a punch-hole cutout housing for the front camera and will have a small punch hole with an average size of 2mm as per Xiaomi.
Flagship Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform powers the Redmi K40 Pro and Adreno 660 GPU. As per the poster, Redmi has borrowed truckloads of inspiration from the Mi 11 flagship, as is evident from the camera hump as well as the overall shape.
