The Pocophone F1 truly is a legendary flagship killer. Xiaomi launched a sub-brand called Poco in 2018, which gave birth to a true flagship-killer featuring Snapdragon 845 SoC in affordable price tag. This year Xiaomi decided to “revive” Poco as a separate brand. Like it or not, the new Poco F2 Pro is coming, and despite the company’s promises, it will be just a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro.
According to a Portughese news blog the Poco F2 Pro is going to be priced over there at €649 (~$704) for the 6/128GB variant. The other variant with 8GB of RAM And 256GB of storage will be €749 (~$813). that seems to be too much for a “flagship killer”. However, the Portuguese government has a “private copy tax” that makes the price a bit higher than the rest in Europe. The European “global” variant will cost €599 (~$650).
The Poco F2 Pro would come with the Snapdragon 865G and a truly bezel-less display and a pop-up mechanism for the selfie shooter. Therefore, it can have its AMOLED display free of any cutouts. Sadly, the handset has only a 60Hz refresh rate. According to the company’s general manager, this was a necessary move to bring down the price.
