MIUI 12 officially announced by Xiaomi, also released the supported devices list

After lots of rumours and leaks, MIUI 12 officially announced by Xiaomi along with new Mi 10 Youth. MIUI 12 is still based on Android 10. However, it’s come up with new a visual overhaul with a more straightforward flat look alongside plenty of new animations, an improved dark mode, new health app and more sophisticated privacy controls.


However, as per the report from Xiaomi, the new custom UI is now faster and more fluid than the previous generation as well as brings new app launch and closing animations. New Dark Mode 2.0 supports wallpaper dimming and font adjustment to make the text easier to read and reduce eye strain.n addition, Xiaomi includes new live wallpapers which zoom in from a space view to an aerial shot each time you unlock your phone. Further, there’s a new functionality named as always-on display and a floating windows which allows you to keep small app previews open on top of full-screen content. Xiaomi also improved the notification management with a feature called “quick reply”.


Other feature includes improved privacy management, that helps to track the behaviour of your app. Besides, the company is implementing a new virtual ID security protocol, which helps to prevent suspicious apps from accessing essential information from the smartphone. Moreover, Xiaomi’s new health app promises improved activity tracking and offers sleep tracking without any additional devices as well.

MIUI 12 Supported Devices List

Xiaomi also released a relative time frame for the stable MIUI 12 update alongside the supported devices list for china. However, there’s no information regarding international availability, but more updates will come soon. Here is the list of the supported device for MIUI 12.
