Last year, Microsoft revealed its plans for the market in 2020 with a revelation of Microsoft surface Duo. People have been awaited for Microsoft’s entrance in the dual-screen market for quite a long time. Despite the announcement, The specifications are still untold. Today, however, in a new twist of fates, the specifications are appearing through a new report.
Microsoft Duo Leaked Specs
According to Windows Central, the new Surface Duo sports 5.6-inch displays with 1800×1350 resolution each and is 4.8mm thick. Under the hood, the Surface Duo boasts Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC that comes alongside 6GB of RAM. The choice of an old chipset isn’t a big surprise since Microsoft finalised its internal design before Qualcomm’s 5G chip with the SD865 was known. The company was too late to make the changes in the internal components.
Surface Duo comes with 64GB storage and 256GB variants. The camera module is a single-camera setup of 11MP f/2.0 1.12um. The device will have USB-C fast-charging and a 3,460mAh battery. This doesn’t seem to be enough for two large displays. Microsoft may be doing to make the device long-lasting with this battery. The Duo comes with Android 10. and it should receive android 11 Sooner as it arrives. Microsoft wants to finalize the pre-installed apps until the next month. All of the first-party apps will support spanning both displays and drag and drop features at launch.
