Huawei just unveiled its most awaiting flagships Huawei P40 and P40 Pro and the P40 pro plus. The phones have improved a lot than Huawei P30 series, which it didn’t forget to enhance more on hardware and photography.
Huawei P40 comes with the triple rear camera setup, but high-end P40 Pro comes with quad camera shooters and the P40 pro-Plus comes with a Penta camera setup. Let’s check the specifications of the smartphone in detail.
Huawei P40 Pro
Huawei P40 Pro smartphone runs on the Android v10 (Q) operating system but doesn’t include Google mobile service. The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G Chipset with an Octa-core processor. The standard variant has come up with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
When coming to the front, the device has a 6.58 OLED display with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has a resolution of 1,200 x 2,640px and 511 PPI pixel density. Further, there will be a stunning four curved edges design, calls it an “Overflow Display”. In the pill-shaped punch hole, Huawei includes the 32MP front camera that supports 4K video recording.
On the Back from the camera, there’s a 50MP primary camera, which supports an RYYB color filter, Octa Phase Detection AF, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). For support, an ultrawide angle Cine Lens camera has a 40MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. However, Huawei retains the periscope zoom camera with a 5x zoom (12MP Telephoto sensor). Moreover, includes 3D Time of Flight (ToF) and color temperature sensor.
Under the hood, Huawei offers a 4,200mAh battery that charges at 40W in a normal wired charger, and up to 27W on wirelessly, similar to last year’s Huawei mate 30 Pro. Other features include IP68 dust and water resistance. The device was available in 4 different colors like Black, White, Silver, and Gold.
Huawei P40 Pro+
Huawei P40 Pro+ is the upper version of P40 pro, the biggest improvement is the zoom cameras and wireless charging. Unlike Huawei P40 Pro’s periscope 125mm lens, the plus model has a focal length of 240mm. Moreover, the Pro+ has an additional telephoto camera with a small 80mm lens.
Huawei also suggesting that the phone is the first phone to achieve 40W wireless charging, that’s been impressive one from Huawei. Further, Huawei added 4,200mAh with support for 40W as well as reverse wireless charging included. Base variant starting from 8GB of RAM and increase in storage with 512GB that it’s siblings.
Huawei P40 sport a 6.1 OLED display, but retain standard 60Hz refresh rate as it’s predecessor. it’s close to the Pro in terms of sharpness with a 1080p+ resolution screen. Besides, like P40 Pro, the device also packs 50MP RYYB main with an extra-large 1/1.28″ sensor on the rear. For support, an 8MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, normal 16MP ultrawide camera with supports for 17mm lens, and a color temp sensor.
Huawei P40 powered by 7nm+ Kirin 990 5G chipset like the Pro and Pro+. Sadly, the battery capacity 3,800mAh with wireless charging, but rely on 22.5W wired charging. Available in GB of RAM and 128GB storage with more color options.
