Huawei’s next high-end device from Mate series is going to arrive in September or October. So far we’ve been hearing only rumours and some leaks of the Huawei Mate 40 Series. According to the latest report, the series arrives with two variants dubbed as Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro. However, today the major detail of high-end Huawei Mate 40 Pro was revealed.
According to this screen protector design, the Mate 40 Pro smartphone will have 6.6” display with curved edges, ultra-thin bezels and there are no holes for a selfie camera. It appears that the Huawei is going to ditch notched design.
This would also mean that the company is trying to use under-display camera technology instead of normal notch design. If this happens, Huawei would become the first brand to use under-display camera technology commercially.
In these days, under-display camera technology is still only available on prototypes in certain manufacturers like Xiaomi and Oppo. However, it is not appeared or implemented on a commercial device. So we can hope that Huawei introduces this technology on upcoming Mate 40 Pro.
