Samsung announced its folding flagship Galaxy Z Fold 2 during Samsung Galaxy Unpacked virtual even on Wednesday. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with the design of the Galaxy Fold and makes use of the Galaxy Z Flip’s ultra-thin glass and bristles underneath the Hideaway hinge for better durability. The new fold is hopefully expected to be better than the previous model.
In the new Fold, Samsung has upgraded the design somewhat. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with bigger screen both on the inside and out. In the original fold, it had a massive chin on the front display and a significant notch on the inside. The internal display size has increased from 7.3 inches to &.6 inch in the new fold, and the external display is 6.2 inches (original fold- 4.6 inches). The hinge mechanism is almost the same as the hinge used in the GAlaxy Z flip. We can fold the device at different angles.
Main hardware specs are unknown, but the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is mostly expected to pack Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 865+ processor and support 5G connectivity. The rear camera is a triple camera module, and they have not revealed more details about the camera. it is expected to be the same as Galaxy Note 20.
Samsung has not yet fully revealed the details of the device. And is expected to reveal on September event. Since the previous Folds were launched in India, we can expect the new fold to launch in India.
